The
AccessPLUS networkable multi-door access control system consists of a
network of separate readers and controllers with relays to operate a single door or
two independent doors in combination with a modern and easy-to-handle
Windows based software.
Compact,
intelligent, well-designed and market-oriented, the AccessPLUS
controller is perfectly suited for modern access control, offering
RS232/RS485 connections, up to 2 card readers with a simple 3-wire
connection, 2000 users, 2000 events memory per controller, fully
configurable access parameter settings and the use of up to 4 internal
timers to solve complex locking problems.
Of
course, the controller provides also the option to connect door exit
buttons and door monitoring switches.
The
AccessPLUS software is well-designed and offers the possibility to
define every single access control parameter for the different users
and/or doors. This includes total management of the card holders,
definition of access groups and time zones, local or timed
anti-passback, possibility to generate reports on various filter
criteria, etc. And each of the software operators has one out of 3
operator levels assigned to, thus making it possible to define which
operator has access to which system functions. |
AccessPLUS system description
The
AccessPLUS system consists of a network of controllers and readers, managed by a
Windows software package.
Each
AccessPLUS controller is equipped with complete electronics, user and event
memories and relays to operate a single door or two
independent doors.
The
controller supports two 125 kHz RFID card readers which can be mounted up to 50
meters from the controller with a simple 3-wire connection. Furthermore, the
controller has the necessary inputs to connect door switches and exit
pushbuttons so that the door can be completely controlled.
The
controller has a RS-232 connection allowing single controller systems a simple
means of connecting to a PC provided the cable run is less than 30 meters.
The
same controller also has a RS-485 connection that will support up to 16
controllers connected in a RS-485 network to a PC, thus allowing the control of
up to 32 doors. In this configuration the PC will require a RS-232/485
Interface/Repeater to connect the PC to the RS-485 network.
Optionally
a modern USB converter can also be supplied to allow easy PC-connection.
The
card readers are fully potted and suitable for mounting outdoors. Tampering with
these readers will not compromise the systems security. Connection between the
controller and the reader goes over a simple 3-wire connection, thus minimising
strongly the installation effort and cost.
The
controller has a 4-way dip switch to set each unit to a unique address in the
range 0 - 15.
This
address is added to the reader identification (reader A or B) to uniquely
identify each reader for programming and transaction reporting.
Access
parameter settings are used to define access rights of the various card holders
at each of the readers.
Programming
is done from a PC using a dedicated and easy-to-use Windows software with a
multi-language user interface.
Technical specifications AccessPLUS

- reader : 89 x 45 x 16 mm, optional spacer plate 89
x 45 x 7 mm ( supplied with each reader )
- Controller
can control 2 independent doors or a single door
- Controller
supports two readers. Only a 3-wire connection needed between
controller and reader. Reader power is supplied by the controller.
- RFID card reader
is fully potted and suitable for outdoor mounting (IP66)
- Typical read
range ( values depending on transponder types and ambient environment
):
- for
ISO-cards : 80 mm
- for key
fobs : 50 mm
- Supported
transponder types
- on 125
kHz : 40 bit read only transponders (EM4x02 family, HiTag2 Public
Mode A, TEMIC e5550 and equivalent)
- Communication with PC :
- single controller system : RS-232
or RS-485 to connect a single controller to a PC
- multi-controller
system : Up
to 16 controllers can be connected using a RS-485 network to a PC
- Power
supply controller : 10 - 14 VDC
- Current
consumption (typical):
- Controller
only : 15 mA

- Operation
humidity: 5 % - 95 % relative humidity (non-condensing)
- Up to 32
independent doors can be controlled
- User memory
for 2000 users
- Event memory
:
Each
controller stores last 2000 transactions with date & time stamp in
non-volatile memory. All transactions, including denied access,
pushbutton and alarm conditions are logged.
- Inputs for
door switches and exit pushbuttons :
- Use of
Door Switch allows use of 4 timers to solve complex locking
problems
- Seperate
Exit Push Button for each door
- Access
control is achieved by assigning a user an Access Parameter :
- 2
predefined and 8 user defined Access Parameters.
- User
defined parameters consist of 5 time zones for each day of week +
holiday during which access is allowed or denied.
- Timed
anti-passback can be set to operate at any reader
- The reader
can be configured to sound its beeper when there is a door alarm
- The alarm
output can be set to operate for door left open and/or door forced
open
- Programmable
pulse output (open collector output) on each controller to control an
external device : can be used as a trigger for CCTV recording etc. or
an alarm output for door left open and/or door forced open
- All
programming done from PC running a standard Windows software
- Software
user interface is modern and easy to use
- Transactions
are downloaded in batch mode - the download can be automated to happen
at preset intervals
